Bhojpuri actress Anjali Raghav has announced her exit from the industry after a viral video showed actor Pawan Singh inappropriately touching her during a promotional event in Lucknow.
Breaking her silence, Anjali clarified that her smile in the viral clip was not consent.
“Touching any girl without her permission is wrong. Touching in this manner is beyond wrong… This has taught me a lesson that I will no longer work in the Bhojpuri industry.”
Anjali said she will now focus on her career in Haryana, distancing herself from Bhojpuri cinema.
The video, which shows Pawan Singh touching her waist on stage while claiming “something was stuck,” has triggered outrage. Anjali later confirmed that nothing was stuck, calling the incident humiliating.
Social media has erupted, with many slamming Pawan Singh’s behaviour as shameful, while others questioned Anjali’s silence before her statement.
