Large trucks are much larger, taller and heavier than ordinary cars, which means they can literally crush a car in an accident. Federal statistics show that truck drivers are victims in only 6% of fatal multi-vehicle truck crashes. Regardless of whose fault an accident was, the vast majority of victims are the people in other vehicles, or pedestrians.
