The year 2010 was a tough year when it comes to the Kinneret Lake. The sever lack of rain has extremely lowered the water level though lately it was slightly raised for the first time in 6 months. Having only one, this particular storm that raged in mid December has been a boon for the water reservoir, raising the water level 10 cm up. So far, only about 60% of the average rain has fallen on the Sea of Galilee, lifting the water level to only 86 cm above the black line which spells irreversible damage to the reservoir.
