A large water spout was spotted in Auckland, New Zealand on Wednesday
.
The weather formation, caused by converging winds, moved from the suburb of Devonport towards the centre of Auckland around 4pm local time.
A water spout is like a tornado but less harmful, passing over a body of water with warm temperature in the lower atmosphere mixed with high humidity.
Water spouts generally break up when they hit land fall.
