Family members gather at the airport in Jakarta for an update about the Russian passenger plane that went missing with 50 people on board.
The Indonesia military said the plane which was on a test flight "fell" from the sky. Authorities lost radio contact with the aircraft after it descended to 6,000 feet near a volcano.
The Superjet 100 plane is Russia's first passenger jet since the fall of the Soviet Union. Indonesian businessmen, Russian embassy officials and journalists were among the passengers.
Authorities say a search operation is underway.
