Criticism over quartet's usefulness in Palestinian-Israeli relations

The Middle East quartet - made up of representatives from the US, EU, UN and Russia have called on Israeli and Palestinian leaders to "focus on positive efforts that can strengthen and improve the climate for a resumption of direct negotiations."
