Kyrgyzstan's interim leader says she believes the number of dead from ethnic violence to be around two thousand people. That's ten times the current official figure. Rosa Otunbayeva is appealing to citizens in the southern city of Osh to rebuild the conflict-torn area, and restore safety to the streets.
