Swapping clothes rails for railway lines.
Iconic French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier inspects the train he helped design, at the Gare du Nord station in Paris.
No surprise, that just like him, the train carries his trademark parallel stripes.
Its destination is Rotterdam, where a major exhibition of his works is being held.
Gaultier says the trip by rail reflects his own journey from modest beginnings to fashion superstardom.
Jean-Paul Gaultier: "It's my story, in reality. The sidewalk, I come from the suburb of Paris to the catwalk which means fashion, podium, defile (catwalk show), all that kind of thing, so it's my work. So it's from where I am born to my work."
With his signature sailor scrawled on the train's nose, and an unexpected trip to the tracks, he's is ready to depart.
The exhibition will be open for three months and include 140 of Gaultier's pieces.
So, all aboard, next top Rotterdam.
