Over 5,000 photos are set to hit the auction block in what is being called the 'largest Hollywood auction ever' by organizers.
Guernsey's Auction House in New York is set to sell the first series of the Movie Star News collection founded in 1938 by Irving Klaw.
Over 50 years, Klaw amassed millions of photos and negatives from movie studios and now Arlan Ettinger from Guernsey's is putting that collection up for grabs.
SOUNDBITE: Arlan Ettinger, Guernsey's Auction House, saying (English):
"There will be many, many images of people including Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, you name it, that have never been seen before."
Later Klaw became known for creating the pin-up girl and launching the career of Bettie Page.
In addition to the 1,300 items from the Movie Star News, 600 lots will come from his work with Page.
