Robert Downey Jr. arrived on the red carpet Wednesday night (April 24) for the Hollywood premiere of "Iron Man 3," wearing the role of billionaire-playboy-philanthropist, Tony Stark, like a suit that he is well familiar with...and after all, he is.
The latest film in franchise is expected to add another successful chapter to the series that has come to define the term, "summer blockbuster."
Downey Jr. adds though that the "Iron Man" films are more than just special effects.

"Is not leaning on them and realizing that is not what makes the movie good. Yet, there are hundreds of men and women who are the backbone of this franchise and I tip my hat to them."
The film's talented cast includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Sir Ben Kingsley and Guy Pearce.
"Iron Man 3" opens in U.S. theaters on May 3, kicking off the summer movie season.
